Extra Long Weekend Report

The report isn't extra long, the weekend was. In the business we call it a Super Weekend. It's a step above Three-Day Weekend, but several steps down from a Permanent Weekend. A Super Weekend could also be a Lost Weekend, but doesn't necessarily have to be.

So what'd I do? Not as much as I would have liked, but still more than normal. It was pretty great.

  • Went fishing.
  • Did not actually go fishing.
  • Had plans to go fishing, but they were canceled in favor of sleep after a long night of partying instigated by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
  • Okay fine, not Flea, but rather Fleas.
  • I don't have fleas.
  • A couple of my friendses dogses had fleas and they (the friends) wanted to get out of the house for a while, so they came over for an impromptu jam.
  • Helped a friend change a tire.
  • By "help" I mean "watched."
  • By "watched" I mean "sat in the car 30 yards away listening to This American Life on my ipod.
  • But still, I drove a long way.
  • Had some Chinese food that tasted like sterno. Ate it all anyway. Wanted to die.
  • My fortune mentioned that I "have the wisdom of the ages at my fingertips." I presume it was referring to Wikipedia.
  • Saw that new Harry Potter flick.
  • I mentioned Harry Potter in my last Weekend report. I never finished watching the fourth one but at this point I knew enough that I didn't feel lost at all.
  • I loved this movie. Those that have read the book were kinda distracted by how much was left out, but since I went in "fresh" I didn't have that burden on me.
  • Now I'm gonna have to read those stupid books.
  • Seriously, that last wizard battle...so awesome.
  • That's about it. Oh, I also went to San Francisco for a couple days. Maybe I'll tell you about that later.

  3. Sterno Canned Heat is a fuel made from denatured and jellied alcohol. It is designed to be burned directly from its can. Its primary use is in the food service industry for buffet heating. Other uses are for camp stoves and as an emergency heat source.
