okay, i get the "freeway ends" signs, because hey, that can be dangerous. but sidewalk? would you accidentally walk into the bushes if that sign wasn't there?
I feel it would have been more considerate for them to put up a sign in advance of it ending, saying, perhaps, "SIDEWALK WILL END IN 500 FEET." That way one would have time to plan an exit strategy.
